Welcome to my website!
My name is
Daniel Zambo and recently I have been living and working as a postdoctoral researcher in Hannover, Germany. I received my
BSc and MSc degrees from Budapest University of Technology and
Economics in chemical engineering. Previously, I worked in the
Institute of Technical Physics and
Materials Science (one of the
research centers of Hungarian Academy of Sciences) in Budapest as
research fellow. Our research group (Chemical
Nanostructures Laboratory, led by Dr. Andras Deak) is
working on
different topics in the field of nanotechnology, plasmonics and colloid
chemistry. My research interests cover the synthesis of metallic
(mainly plasmonic) nanoparticles and nanostructures, semiconductor nanoparticles and their 3D superstructures,
the fundamental
physical-chemical phanomena arising in nanoparticle systems, surface
modification, directed self-assembly and optics of different NPs.
Nowadays, I am working on the preparation and investigation of
self-supported
aerogels built up from Cd-based semiconductor nanoparticles in differnt
shapes (QDs, dot-in-shell particles, nanopletelets).
